This world is a beautiful, crazy place with new and exciting opportunities every day. Life should be cherished and enjoyed to the fullest. That is exactly what my husband and I plan to do and we want you to come along for the ride. So buckle up and get ready for the experience of a lifetime.
SPRING 2021
In the spring of 2021, Bake and I decided to take a tour of the beaches and cigar lounges on the Gulf side of Florida. While we were on this trip we were able to tour the vegan and plant-based restaurants as well.
spring 2019
In the spring of 2019, Bake and I finished checking off the last of the lower 48 states in our Mini Cooper. That made our 3rd vehicle we have taken to all 48! A few of the fun sites along the way were the Bourbon Trail, Mammoth Caves, and the Criel Mound! Hooray for road trips!

Dinner at the Chicago Diner! Meatless since 1983, this diner boasts exceptional vegan and vegetarian cuisine and award winning "milk"shakes. We tried the Country fried "steak" and peanut butter "milk"shake. We were not disappointed. The textures and flavors were exceptional. Morton Arboretum
Our relatives treated us to a beautiful walk through "illumination: Tree Lights at the Morton Arboretum". This breathtaking mile walk through interactive/synchronized lights to seasonal music, bonfires, s'mores, and exceptional views is a must for people of any age. www.mortonarb.org/

The Empire Burger Bar
We had a great time at The Empire Burger Bar in Napperville, IL with family and friends. They have a wonderful atmosphere with an tasty menu to boot. We had The Ellen and The Key West. The Ellen is a Beyond Burger on a pretzel bun with vegan cheddar, guac, lettuce, tomato, and raw red onions. The Key West normally comes with a turkey burger, maple bourbon glaze, caramelized onion, pineapple, and chili garlic aioli on a pretzel bun, but we subbed in the Beyond Burger. The burgers come with fries or chips. The chips are fresh fried potato slices with a sweet dusting and the fries are lightly salted. Both burger were spectacular.

During our trip to Chicago, we were able to get a few pictures of Cloud Gate, also known as "The Bean". Cloud Gate resides in Millennium Park, a beautiful 25 acre park filled with unique works of art. Under construction from 1997 - 2004, Millennium Park came in well over budget with Cloud Gate contributing $23 Million to the $475 Million ending total.
